The Caring for Country partnership between Indigital, the Western Cape Aboriginal communities, and Rio Tinto has been nationally recognised, winning Collaboration of the Year at the 2025 AEMEE Awards.
Through the Caring for Country program, APN Rangers are demonstrating what Indigenous-led conservation looks like, where cultural authority directs science and strengthens self-determination.
Ripples of change continue to flow across Western Cape York as communities connect culture and technology to care for Country and shape shared futures.
At SXSW Sydney 2025, Indigital’s Peta-Anne Toohey joined Dr Anna Denejkina, Leigh Williams and Dan Bowen on the Impact Stage presented by Charitabl for The Art of the Possible: Reimagining Education Through AI, Culture & Care.
