Communities across Western Cape York came together in Weipa to celebrate Season Two of Indigital’s Caring for Country program
The Caring for Country partnership between Indigital, the Western Cape Aboriginal communities, and Rio Tinto has been nationally recognised, winning Collaboration of the Year at the 2025 AEMEE Awards.
Through the Caring for Country program, APN Rangers are demonstrating what Indigenous-led conservation looks like, where cultural authority directs science and strengthens self-determination.
